Sales internship at Patchpoint: build the sales process together with the founders

About Patchpoint

Patchpoint is a Swedish cybersecurity company. We train employees and leadership teams in security, then give each customer a clear picture of what the organization actually knows and where it can improve, not just a list of attendees.

We deliver interactive workshops and training and license our own tools. Our customers include municipalities, regions, public authorities and private companies facing high security expectations from customers and investors.

New cybersecurity requirements are making leadership training and demonstrable capability more urgent. It is a question we encounter in almost every conversation today.

The role

We are in an early commercialization phase. The platform has been built and tested in pilot projects; now we are bringing it to market through both inbound and outbound sales.

You will work directly with the founders and take part in the actual sales work. You will start with a playbook and a defined ideal customer profile, while helping us refine the process. What you learn in customer conversations will shape how we sell the following week.

Some periods are repetitive: prospecting and call lists take time, and most calls do not become meetings. You should want to become excellent at that part of sales under real conditions, with ongoing coaching. In return, you will shape your own approach and set your own goals.

What you will do

  • Prospecting and researchBuild and qualify lists against our ideal customer profile. You will learn how organizations are structured, identify the right entry points and look for relevant buying signals.
  • Contact decision-makersMake prepared cold calls using our playbook and follow up by email and LinkedIn, with booked meetings as the goal. During the first weeks, you will make calls together with us and receive continuous coaching.
  • CRM and pipelineWork continuously in HubSpot: document conversations, keep deal stages current and follow up on time. Good CRM hygiene matters because this is the information we use to steer the company.
  • Customer meetings and deliveryJoin customer meetings first as a listener and note-taker, then take responsibility for parts of the meeting if you want. You will also attend workshops and deliveries to understand what we sell and build.
  • Improve the sales systemObjections you encounter, phrases that work and lists you build all become part of our shared playbook. Your discoveries will improve the company’s way of selling.

Who we are looking for

  • You communicate confidently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • You are comfortable calling people you do not know, or determined to become comfortable doing it.
  • You are structured enough to manage your own follow-ups without reminders.
  • You want to understand what you sell rather than read from a script.

Useful, but not required

  • A technical background or an interest in IT and security.
  • A basic understanding of NIS2, GDPR or information security.
  • Experience with a CRM, preferably HubSpot.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator or a similar prospecting tool.
  • Previous telephone sales, appointment-setting or customer-service experience.
  • Knowledge of the public sector and municipal procurement.

What you get

Commission on what you sell

You receive a percentage of the first year’s order value for each customer. The exact percentage is discussed during the interview. Public-sector sales can take time, so commission also applies if a deal you initiated closes after your internship ends.

Experience that is difficult to gain elsewhere

You will help build a sales process from the ground up in an early-stage company, gain documented experience speaking with decision-makers in the public and private sectors, work practically in HubSpot and learn how cybersecurity is sold in a rapidly changing market.

The tools you need

We provide telephony, CRM, prospecting tools and travel to customer meetings. You should not need to spend your own money to do the job.
